Thank you for visiting our website! This is the season of Lent and here at John Wesley UMC we are focusing on taking a look at our own lives and trying to figure out how to make them more like what God hopes for us. We realize that there are things in our lives that are good but may need to be in a different spot on our priority list. Also, there are things in our lives that we need to get rid of and with God's help we are working towards becoming more healthy both physically and spiritually. We'd love to have you join us for one of our services. Palm Sunday is March 28th, which begins Holy Week. Our Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services will be at 7:00 in the Sanctuary.
This is an exciting month for us as we will host 3 families experiencing homelessness as part of our partnership with Family Promise Gwinnett. We, along with several local churches, are trying to do our part to end homelessness by opening our building to provide housing, food and fellowship during the last week of March. Also, we are partnering with Gwinnett Tech in order to bring English classes to our area. The class is free and registration is on the 23rd and 29th from 9:30 to noon. If you are interested or know of someone who would like to take one of the classes, please send them our way.
