Why we give

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given
us shows the world where our hearts are and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify
God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Supporting Scripture

The Apostle Paul writes in 2nd Corinthians 9:8 “… God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need, and plenty left over to share with others”.

In the gospel of Luke 6:38, Jesus said “Give and it will be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

Lastly, Peter writes in 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

These scripture references all speak of our call to be generous just as God has been generous to us.
